On January 29, 2021, the European Medicines Agency approved the Oxford AstraZeneca vaccine for use in the European Union.
This news comes after the row between the parties (AstraZeneca and the EU) — AstraZeneca says they are having production problems in the Netherlands and Belgium which will cause issues in supplying to the EU. Learn more about these disputed vaccine contracts here and here.

Moderna announced a supply update for the United States, reporting that 30.4 million doses have been supplied to the United States government to date.
Moderna is now in discussions with the United States for an additional 100 million doses of Moderna’s COVID-19 vaccine.
Similar to the Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccine, Moderna has cut deliveries of their COVID-19 vaccine to Italy and France, too.
